"Baking"

or rather mixing things and making messes!:) I threw a bunch of ingredients into small containers and let him go to town with pouring and mixing. He loved it, but when the runny mixture started flowing onto the floor, I was done. :)

Strawberry Muffins

I picked 27 1/2 pounds of strawberries in the last two weeks. I froze most of them and am looking forward to smoothies and bread and such! With the fresh ones I left out I made strawberry pancakes and then Caedmon helped me make muffins. It was a fun project to do together, inspired by my friend who blogged about making Amish Friendship Bread as a family.
Caedmon enjoyed himself! I had to catch him before he ate a spoonful of the batter, batter that wasn't even finished yet!:)

They turned out delicious!:)

Sweet Tooth

I was making pound cake last weekend for strawberry shortcake as a special treat Sunday morning for Mother's Day and Caedmon pointed to the beaters. It cracked me up that he understood that he'd be getting something sweet if he got to lick it. Can you tell I've been baking a lot lately?!:)
