The Reception

Corey's cousin had a HUGE reception a couple days after the wedding.

We met Tyrone, Shannon and Maria
at Steven's (another cousin) restaurant before the reception.

Wedding at the Park

Corey's cousin got married at the state park in Manistee and Corey officiated the wedding. It was a little chilly but a beautiful day and temps could have been worse for the last day in September.:)Checkin' out the view

Attempting a cute pic, but Carys wouldn't cooperate.:/

Corey surrounded by his aunts.

Family pic...in a bad spot.

My kids during the wedding...they were mostly quiet.

Corey's New Look

Sorry dear!
Corey went to a 30th birthday party last weekend,
and the stipulation for the guys was they all had to have a mustache only.
Needless to say, Corey shaved the mustache off the next morning (Easter Sunday)
and he looked like the guy I married on our wedding day!

Kaleb's Visit

My youngest brother stopped on his way through to Wisconsin for spring break and spent the night. This was the first time he's seen my children and the first we've seen each other in three years! It was great to spend some time with him.

Thanks for visiting Kaleb!

She's not crying...neither is she sure what she thinks about him

A beautiful afternoon for a walk to the lake

Somebody was serious about their block building!

And of course Caedmon got some reading time in!

Their First Basketball Game

A few weeks back, I went to a high school basketball game to support a friend in the cheerleading squad and had a blast! Boy did I ever feel old; the high schoolers looked like kids out there, which is what they are of course, but back when I was a peer, they seemed so old looking!:)

We decided to attempt the whole family going. The kids did really well and Corey and I enjoyed a nail biter of a game! I love high school basketball!

Trying to keep them occupied - it was past bedtime.

Already a Casanova - the girls kept him busy with popcorn.:)

Every time I'm in that high school, I start thinking about my kids walking the halls one day...agghh! Glad I have awhile, although I know how time flies!

Almost home:)

Happy Birthday Corey...

...28 days late!:/ Corey turned 30 this year and even though I wanted to celebrate and make it extra special, he wanted to do nothing. I honored his wishes for the most part. No parties; but he went out to eat with a good friend of his and then they went to a poker game. They came back and I had caramel apple pie ready for them. That was on his actual birthday. Then his other gift finally came in the mail. I think I succeeded, although I'm sure he could do without the big 30 on the back!:)

Christmas Eve at the Moka

We couldn't pass up a chance to hang out at the Moka on Christmas Eve.

Yummy

Corey was eating an apple and let Carys lick it...she kept going back for more.

Apples, Pumpkins, Hay Rides and Corn Mazes

October 11, we headed to Rennie's Orchard with friends. I LOVE this time of year and now I have kids to do all the fun stuff with!:) It turned out to be a VERY cold day and we saw the first snow flurries fly! Despite the cold, we had a blast and I wouldn't mind doing it all over again!:)

I followed someone who had a better idea of how to make it out!:)

They cheated in order to make it out of the corn maze:)

Packed a picnic lunch -
I'm pretty sure the temperature dropped even more while we ate!

We went on the hayride (Corey stayed behind with Carys),
but I had given my camera to Corey and forgot to get it back before the ride.:(
So this is not us, but that's what we rode on.
It was a long ride through fields and there was some gorgeous scenery!

They had a nice fire going and boy was it needed!

Worn out!
