We went up to Friske's Orchards to enjoy the animals, playground, hot apple cider and fresh donuts!

Family Adventure 2

We decided to brave a three mile hike! The kids did well, the fresh air was lovely and the woods were beautiful despite the leaves having fallen already.

Caedmon walked most of the way by himself!

Obstacle

I carried Carys in the backpack about half the hike and finally couldn't go on.

Caedmon and I found walking sticks.

Yes, Carys worked so hard she just couldn't stay awake any longer!:)

At the end of our journey, we were rewarded with a beautiful view of the Jordan Valley.

It was a lovely family adventure!

Their First Basketball Game

A few weeks back, I went to a high school basketball game to support a friend in the cheerleading squad and had a blast! Boy did I ever feel old; the high schoolers looked like kids out there, which is what they are of course, but back when I was a peer, they seemed so old looking!:)

We decided to attempt the whole family going. The kids did really well and Corey and I enjoyed a nail biter of a game! I love high school basketball!

Trying to keep them occupied - it was past bedtime.

Already a Casanova - the girls kept him busy with popcorn.:)

Every time I'm in that high school, I start thinking about my kids walking the halls one day...agghh! Glad I have awhile, although I know how time flies!

Family Time

Sunday afternoon Corey lets me know what the plan is for the evening: pizza at the park, ice cream at our local ice cream shop and a movie after Caedmon's in bed. He didn't get any argument from me!!! It was a lovely evening! I love hanging out with my family!:)

A Crisp, Refreshing Walk

A week ago we decided to take a walk down the road and across the street to Lake Bellaire. We pulled Caedmon in his sled, but we had just experienced quite a warm up and for once the roads were clear, so it was quite a noisy trip!:) The exercise felt good as did the fresh air, which had cooled back down. We got to walk out on the lake a little. I did this a lot as a little kid and I miss things like ice skating and playing football and driving out on the lakes!

It was nice to spend time together outdoors!

A Picnic at the Park

Corey surprised us Sunday and came home early! When I was trying to figure out what to make for supper, he suggested a picnic at the park! What a great idea! We had a wonderful time, hanging out as a family!

This chair has been the best purchase!

Despite all the distractions, he made it through the whole bowl of food!
